Tea and Its Infinite Variegations

Tea and Its Infinite Variegations

One feature of tea that always keeps me coming back for more, is the search for the perfect cup of tea. Each time the leaves are steeped — each cup — is different and one is often met with the most pleasant surprises. Drinking tea in a conscious way allows us not only great insights into the leaves we are drinking but into the inner recesses of our minds as well.

Blind Tasting with Shinzo Shiratori----Sample D 2012 Bodhi Leaf Ripe Pu-Erh

A couple months ago, I sent our guest blogger Shinzo Shiratori. I asked him to do a blind tea tasting and review for us. There are four samples, A,B,C,D.

These four samples are 2012 Bodhi Leaf Ripe Pu-Erh; 1980s Ripe Pu-Erh Xia Guan Tuo; 1996 Jiang Cheng Spring Tip Cake; 2010 Treasure Raw Pu-Erh. However, Shinzo has no idea which one is which.

This is his first blind tasting review. Since he got the right answer, I am posting his review here.

Please follow us. Hope this talent 14-year-old tea enthusiast would finish this challenge.
